As far as I know this is no possible at the moment. I support this suggestion since I wasted my scrolls on my gear and found out that I couldn't use SOTA on it later...
In my point of view, 4~16 STAT on an item is not so effective at all... so why not to remove it once for all? This way people will be able to use SOTA with no problem

Maybe elaborate a bit more on any ideas to maybe replace the scrolls or maybe make the stats higher if that is possible.

This issue has been fixed yesterday, re-patch your client for the newest Neuz.
