Reputation

As the title says, what is this reputation? I know it's meaning, yeah, i'm not dumb lol. I was just trying to know what does it do here on forums and how can I achieve more? I mean is this post related? 'cause I see some players with 200+ posts without even a soul of reputation or some got like 2-4. And I got like 7 with 250+ posts only. I really care about this reputation. I think it gives a sense of importance or not being frivolous about your post and comments here on forums. Does the staff give or increase your rep'? Someone please do enlighten me about this cos I'm really craving to have more reputations rather than posts. Lol.

You get a point of reputation every time one of your posts get upvoted.

Talk about rep here. 17 reps with 50 posts. That's what I'm talking about man. How'd you get that? And what do you mean upvoted sir? Who "upvotes" my posts? Staffs and members? Please do elaborate. Thanks in advance!

You notice that green "plus" (+) in every post of other people? If you click that.. You'll upvote their post and they'll gain reputation.

Ohh. So that's what the + sign means. And the - sign will reduce your reputation? That's just sad though. But if your post is worthy of a negative sign, why not right? Lol. Thanks Rayleigh. I'm really hoping I could get like more reps' here.

Having a high reputation point to post ratio shows the quality and helpfulness if their posting in general.

It is also can be used for Vote of Popularity as well as boosting up your popular ratings and such.

Indeed. More reputation means that his/her post/s are germane and not just spam. I want reputation badly, lol. But it all depends on the community. I think I should post more relevant and helpful post/topic then.
